The purpose of this report is to look at the effects of bicycles on the environment. My information is taken from UK government statistics.
On the whole, cycling is now 25% more popular than 10 years ago. Using bikes it’s quiet and not produce pollution so is better than go by car. Released to that, we reduce 6% of the cars on roads because of cycling.
Unfortunately, all about bikes aren’t good. We need a lot of natural resources in production, for example, we need 15kg of aluminum to make only one adult’s bike. Also, there are a lot of parts of the bicycle difficult to recycle, like rubber tires. Finally, we can say that a lot of bikes buried in landfill sites.
In conclusion, bikes make less pollution, less noise and we used that to shorter journeys. But we used a lot of natural resources to make it. I suggest that they are made from more environmentally-friendly materials.
